What a pharmacist actually does
Pharmacists dispense prescriptions and check them for interactions and dosing errors, counsel patients on how to take medicines, manage stock and controlled drugs, and in industry work across quality, regulatory affairs and pharmacovigilance.
How to become one — the qualification route
D.Pharm or B.Pharm followed by registration with a State Pharmacy Council is the practising route; M.Pharm and Pharm.D lead to clinical and industry specialisations.
Regulated professions have statutory entry requirements. Always confirm current rules with the relevant council or university before enrolling anywhere.

Which online courses actually help
The two directions that open jobs are clinical (pharmacology refreshers, patient counselling, public health) and industry (regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, quality systems, medical coding and documentation).
